Welcome to the Ark.
The Ark is an organization that provides a healthy, happy and safe environment for some of Ukraine’s most at-risk children. Located in Ukraine’s capital city of Kyiv, we function as a credible social rehabilitation and family restoration center—a home and place of comfort for many of Ukraine’s most neglected citizens.
Though each child’s case is different, we primarily work with children whose parents’ rights have been suspended or revoked as a result of their being deemed incapable of caring for children. Many of our children are typically referred to as “social orphans,” as they are not always orphans in the traditional sense of the word. The Ark addresses children’s physical, emotional and educational needs first, and then focuses on the potential options for placing children into a healthy family situation. We frequently provide counseling for rehabilitation and/or employment options for parents, as we maintain that should the home situation be reparable, a child is always best-suited for his or her home environment. However, in circumstances where placing the child back in his or her home is not possible, we strategically try to place children with a caring, trustworthy foster or adoptive family.

Father’s Care, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization devoted exclusively to supporting the All Ukrainian Charitable Fund - Father’s Care which is a non-profit, non-sectarian humanitarian organization that solely operates a rehabilitation center in Kyiv, Ukraine called the Ark. The Ark is mainly sustained by the gifts of donors from several countries. Financial support is critical for properly providing for the children living at the Ark. No amount is too small to make a difference in the life of a child!

We also pray that God would work in the lives of parents and other family members so that they might create a better situation at home for children. The All Ukrainian Charitable Fund - Father's Care is a non-profit, non-sectarian humanitarian organization in Ukraine that since 1998 has been involved in giving hope and a future to children at-risk and street children in Kyiv.

Prayer
We invite you join us in prayer for the children of Ukraine. Our prayer is that we would be able to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of each child who comes to live at the Ark. Volunteer
For over 20 years the Ark has welcomed volunteers (teams and individuals) to come and help us with our work. Perhaps you’re a member of a church or other organization that would like to organize a volunteer trip—well, this might be the perfect opportunity for your group.
Typically we host teams or individuals for week to two-week sessions in summers, but we are happy to welcome volunteers all year round. We accommodate volunteers here on the property, providing sleeping quarters and three meals of delicious and authentic Ukrainian food a day. Teams often create their own schedule of activities ranging from construction and landscaping projects to programming games, discussions and other activities for the children. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have regarding volunteering.
If you’re not able to join us in Kyiv, you can also volunteer your time at home. Whether you’re in a student club, a small group at church, or on a local sports team, ask the people in your immediate community if they would be willing to help you raise funds for the children at the Ark. From bake sales to benefit concerts, we are always happy to help brainstorm ideas.
